Alors que leur premier single \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>In The Hall of the Hanging Serpents<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb avait attir\u00e9 l’attention\u00a0et avait fait sensation \u00e0 sa sortie \u00e0 la mi-2022, <\/span>Dieth <\/span>se pr\u00e9sente cette fois-ci avec son premier album intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>To Hell And Back<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0. L’intention du groupe, r\u00e9cemment form\u00e9 par le bassiste <\/span>David Ellefson<\/span> (ex-<\/span>Megadeth<\/span>), le guitariste\/chanteur <\/span>Guilherme Miranda<\/span> (ex-<\/span>Entombed AD<\/span>) et le batteur <\/span>Micha\u0142 \u0141ysejko<\/span> (ex-<\/span>Decapitated<\/span>), n’\u00e9tait pas de proposer un autre projet parall\u00e8le ou un \u00ab\u00a0supergroupe\u00a0\u00bb mais plut\u00f4t une r\u00e9incarnation collective de trois forces du metal. Ce nouveau d\u00e9part est donc symbolis\u00e9 par ce premier album, tant bien sur le plan musical et lyrique que pour les membres eux-m\u00eames. Maintenant que les choses sont pos\u00e9es, il faut \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent \u00e9couter et essayer de prouver la v\u00e9racit\u00e9 des promesses annonc\u00e9es par le groupe. <\/span>

L’\u00e9coute d\u00e9bute par le titre \u00e9ponyme \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>To Hell And Back<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb et s’ouvre sur une introduction acoustique ensorcelante puis une attaque brutale et puissante s’abat directement sur l’auditeur : une batterie lourde et \u00e9nergique, une guitare technique et mena\u00e7ante, une basse sombre et angoissante et enfin une voix gutturale et imposante. Tous les ingr\u00e9dients pour une tr\u00e8s bonne chanson d’ouverture. Le groupe \u0153uvrant dans un m\u00e9lange de styles : on retrouve donc 2 chansons typ\u00e9es thrash metal, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Don’t Get Mad… Get Even!<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb taill\u00e9e pour le live avec son refrain \u00e0 scander \u00e0 tue-t\u00eate, et \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Dead Inside<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb <\/span>avec ses riffs accrocheurs <\/span>; mais \u00e9galement 2 chansons typ\u00e9es death, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Wicked Disdain<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb avec sa vigueur et sa pesanteur, et \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>The Mark of Cain<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb avec son introduction aux sonorit\u00e9s s’approchant d’un Pantera. Les morceaux \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Free Us All<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Heavy is the Crown<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>In the Hall of the Hanging Serpents<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb suivent la direction engag\u00e9e dans les morceaux pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents mais la grande surprise r\u00e9side dans la chanson \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Walk With Me Forever<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0. En effet, puisque <\/span>Guilherme <\/span>c\u00e8de sa place \u00e0 <\/span>David<\/span>, pour sa toute premi\u00e8re performance vocale. La ballade touchante \u00e9voque la perte d’un \u00eatre cher et la fa\u00e7on de continuer d’avancer tout en lui rendant hommage. N\u00e9anmoins, on ressent les sonorit\u00e9s et les ressemblances vocales avec <\/span>Megadeth <\/span>et <\/span>Dave Mustaine<\/span> : un h\u00e9ritage plut\u00f4t compr\u00e9hensible, quand on sait que le musicien a pass\u00e9 plus de 30 ans au sein de son pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent groupe. Un morceau plac\u00e9 en milieu de tracklist qui casse un peu le rythme mais qui offre une petite pause avant une reprise de la violence. Enfin, l’album se termine par l’instrumentale \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Severance<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb qui semble fermer la boucle en reprenant la m\u00e9lodie instaur\u00e9e en d\u00e9but d’\u00e9coute.<\/span>

En conclusion, ce premier album de <\/span>Dieth <\/span>ne r\u00e9invente pas le style, mais propre du thrash\/death traditionnel tr\u00e8s bien fait avec une production propre et carr\u00e9e. M\u00eame s’ il manque un peu de coh\u00e9rence dans l’encha\u00eenement des titres mais il a au moins le m\u00e9rite d’explorer et d’exploiter d’autres ambiances ou \u00e9motions. C’est ce qui fait la diff\u00e9rence avec les autres formations du genre. Par ailleurs, il est aussi \u00e9tonnant de voir Ellefson \u00e9voluer dans du death metal, lui qui, nous a habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 des projets plut\u00f4t orient\u00e9s thrash et heavy metal.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
