Unearth <\/span>est un gros pilier de la sc\u00e8ne \u201cmetalcore\u201d avec plus de 20 ans de carri\u00e8re. Aujourd\u2019hui, ils sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 d\u00e9voiler leur 8<\/span>\u00e8me<\/span><\/span> album intitul\u00e9 \u201c<\/span>The Wretched, The Ruinous<\/span>\u201d. Vous vous direz pourquoi \u00ab\u00a0metalcore\u00a0\u00bb entre guillemets? Tout simplement car <\/span>Unearth <\/span>se situe plus entre le \u00ab\u00a0melodique death\u00a0\u00bb et le \u00ab\u00a0hardcore\u00a0\u00bb plut\u00f4t qu’un metalcore pur. Ah! \u00c7a va bien mieux, on peut continuer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour la deuxi\u00e8me fois cons\u00e9cutive, le groupe a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de travailler avec l’homme le plus \u00ab\u00a0lourd\u00a0\u00bb de la plan\u00e8te : <\/span>Will Putney<\/span>, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire le producteur reconnu et \u00ab\u00a0serial riffer\u00a0\u00bb de <\/span>Fit For an Autopsy<\/b><\/span>. Vous l’aurez compris, \u00e7a va une nouvelle fois envoyer du gras. Entre-temps, le guitariste fondateur du groupe <\/span>Ken Susi <\/span>a quitt\u00e9 le groupe apr\u00e8s plus de 20 ans de bons et loyaux services. Justement, cet album est dans un sens un gros test pour le groupe et nous voici maintenant \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte du premier album du groupe sans la p\u00e2te artistique d’un de ses fondateurs. Sauront-t-ils apaiser les craintes de tous les fans? Je vais aller droit au but, le groupe n’a rien perdu de son \u00e9nergie et de sa lourdeur. Les 36 minutes de ce nouvel album passent \u00e0 une allure folle. Finalement on pourrait croire que le groupe est toujours au sommet de leur art et malgr\u00e9 le d\u00e9part de <\/span>Ken<\/span>, la qualit\u00e9 est toujours au rendez-vous. Finalement \u00e0 la fin de l’album je me suis pos\u00e9 la question : \u00ab\u00a0qu’est ce que tu as retenu de l’album?\u00a0\u00bb. Justement pas grand chose, et c’est bien l\u00e0 le gros point n\u00e9gatif de l’album, il n’y a aucun moment m\u00e9morable. J’ai recommenc\u00e9 l’album et j’en suis revenu \u00e0 la m\u00eame conclusion. Techniquement je n’ai pas grand chose \u00e0 leur reprocher, tout est bien ex\u00e9cut\u00e9, mais malheureusement l’ensemble manque cruellement de moment significatif : pas de solo, pas de breakdown, pas de refrain embl\u00e9matique\u2026 mis \u00e0 part sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Broken Arrow<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n

J’ai donn\u00e9 \u00e0 l’album encore quelques chances afin de me faire changer d’avis, et quelque chose a chang\u00e9 dans ma r\u00e9flexion. L’album n’est pas aussi m\u00e9morable que je l’aurais voulu, mais par contre il a un \u00e9norme potentiel en live et c’est peut \u00eatre ce que le groupe voulait d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
