C’est au tour des su\u00e9dois de Avatar de sortir leur nouvelle livraison \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Dance Devil Dance<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb, pas moins d’une semaine apr\u00e8s leurs comp\u00e8res de <\/span><\/span><\/span>In<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> Flames<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>. Le groupe affirme que ce neuvi\u00e8me album a pour mission de sauver le heavy metal, et c’est notamment ce qui a motiv\u00e9 l’\u00e9criture de ce nouvel album. Une fois de plus, les acolytes sont all\u00e9s chercher leur ami et producteur <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jay Ruston<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>, pour l’enregistrer et le publier ce 17 f\u00e9vrier, sur leur propre label <\/span><\/span><\/span>Black Waltz Record<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>s, cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 2021. D’apr\u00e8s le chanteur <\/span><\/span><\/span>Johannes <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>Eckerst\u00f6rm<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Mot\u00f6rhead<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> et <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Judas Priest<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> ont largement inspir\u00e9s la composition de l’album, et on y retrouve en effet des sonorit\u00e9s communes, notamment dans certaines nuances de son chant.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

La premi\u00e8re chanson et chanson \u00e9ponyme est assez entra\u00eenante\u00a0: des notes \u00e0 connotation country mais surtout les refrains qui seront sans aucun doute <\/span><\/span><\/span>chanter \u00e0 tue-t\u00eate par les fans ET par notre clown pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces changements de chant et ses aigu\u00ebs l\u00e9gendaires, proches d’un <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Rob Halford<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> des bons jours. On retrouve tr\u00e8s bien l’essence d’<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Avatar <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>dans cette chanson. \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Chimp Mosh Pit<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb est dans la m\u00eame lign\u00e9e que cette premi\u00e8re chanson\u00a0: en effet on retrouve ce chant caract\u00e9ristique du hard rock des ann\u00e9es 70-80 qui monte dans les aigus, avec toutefois des riffs de guitares plus lourds et sombres. Pas grand chose \u00e0 ajouter de plus. Les autres musiciens ne sont pas en reste non plus et notamment sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Valley Of Disease<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Do You Feel It Control<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb ou m\u00eame sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Clouds Dipped In Chrome<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>o\u00f9 on sent qu’ils s’en donnent \u00e0 c\u0153ur joie\u00a0: les martellements de<\/span> John Alfredsson<\/i><\/span> ainsi que les lignes de guitares de <\/span>Jonas Jarlsby <\/i><\/span>et de <\/span>Tim \u00d6hrstr\u00f6me<\/i><\/span> sont clairement plus rapides et plus satur\u00e9es que sur les autres morceaux de cet opus. Ensuite, parlons de <\/span>\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Gotta Wanna Riot<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb qui prend des airs de boys band avec une arm\u00e9e de Minions pour les ch\u0153urs. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Arrive le morceau \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Clouds Dipped in Chrome<\/u><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb avec sa cloche d’introduction plus qu’aga\u00e7ante. C’est certainement l’un des morceaux qui me pla\u00eet le moins de ce \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Dance Devil Dance<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb. Donc aucun int\u00e9r\u00eat de s’attarder dessus… Cependant, je reste curieuse de ce que le groupe pourrait en faire en version live. <\/span><\/span>C’est dans \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Hazmat Suit<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb qu’on retrouve les influences <\/span><\/span><\/span>Mot\u00f6rhead<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> promises par le groupe\u00a0: une \u00e9nergie d\u00e9bordante avec suppl\u00e9ment punk, comme seul <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lemmy<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span> en avait le secret. \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Train<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb est l’un des morceaux les plus \u00e9tranges. <\/span><\/span><\/span>L’\u00e9coute se termine sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Violence No Matter What<\/u><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb, en duo avec la chanteuse et guita<\/span>riste <\/span>Lzzy Hale <\/i><\/span>de <\/span>Halestorm<\/b><\/span>. Une chanson de bonne facture avec cette voix \u00e9raill\u00e9e qui compl\u00e8te <\/span>exactement celle de <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Johannes<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>. En tant que guitariste, elle apporte un son tr\u00e8s hard rock aux riffs du morceau, ce qui fait de cette chanson, un duo parfaitement r\u00e9ussi.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

De fa\u00e7on g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, chaque morceau a sa particularit\u00e9 et c’est ce qu’il fait que ces compositions s’inscrivent parfaitement dans la discographie singuli\u00e8re et atypique d’<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Avatar<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>. Le groupe reste \u00e9tonnant d’album en album\u00a0: il ne se repose que rarement sur ces lauriers et propose sans cesse de nouveaux virages artistiques. N\u00e9anmoins, je trouve l’ensemble brouillon et je n’arrive pas \u00e0 trouver un fil rouge qui relie chaque morceau du d\u00e9but jusqu’\u00e0 la fin de l’\u00e9coute. Le successeur de \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Hunter Gatherer<\/span><\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb ne r\u00e9invente pas le heavy metal… le but est plus d’offrir un maximum d’efficacit\u00e9.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
