Chaque nouvel album d’Avantasia<\/b> est un \u00e9v\u00e8nement en soi. En plus de l’impatience de d\u00e9couvrir les nouveaux titres, il y a la d\u00e9couverte des guests <\/i>qui participent \u00e0 l’album. Apr\u00e8s Mille Petrozza<\/i> (Kreator<\/b>) et Hansi Kursch<\/i> (Blind Guardian<\/b>) sur \u00ab\u00a0Moonflower<\/i><\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, les petits nouveaux sont Floor Jansen<\/i> (Nightwish<\/b>) et Ralf Sheepers<\/i> (Primal Fear<\/b>) ! S’ajoutent les \u00ab\u00a0habitu\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb : Michael Kiske<\/i> (Helloween<\/b>), Jorn Lande<\/i> (Jorn<\/b>), Ronnie Atkins<\/i> (Pretty Maids<\/b>), Bob Catley<\/i> (Magnum<\/b>), Eric Martin<\/i> (Mr Big<\/b>), Geoff Tate<\/i> (Queensr\u00ffche<\/b>). La t\u00eate pensante du supergroupe : Tobias Sammet<\/i>, a assur\u00e9 au monde entier que c’est l’album dont il est le plus fier etc… C’est le moment de savoir si c’est simplement de la promo ou si c’est vrai !\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00ab\u00a0A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society<\/u><\/i>\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb est compos\u00e9 de 11 titres, majoritairement courts (moins de 5min30) \u00e0 l’exception du dernier morceau \u00ab\u00a0Arabesque<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb qui culmine \u00e0 10min. L’album s’ouvre avec \u00ab\u00a0Welcome To The Shadows<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, chant\u00e9 en solo par Tobias Sammet<\/i>. L’atmosph\u00e8re est tr\u00e8s sombre et lente, en particulier sur les couplets, chant\u00e9s fa\u00e7on \u00ab\u00a0bouffon du roi d\u00e9moniaque\u00a0\u00bb qui contrastent totalement avec le refrain en choeur. L’alternance est r\u00e9ussie et rend tr\u00e8s bien. Le titre suivant est d\u00e9j\u00e0 connu, puisque c’est le premier \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9 : \u00ab\u00a0The Wicked Rule The Night<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb avec Ralf Scheepers<\/i>. Comme d’habitude, Tobias Sammet<\/i> sait parfaitement adapter ses compositions aux invit\u00e9s : il utilise la voix aux sonorit\u00e9s thrash <\/i>de Ralf <\/i>dans un tr\u00e8s bon morceau \u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 la Blind Guardian<\/b>\u00ab\u00a0. Encore un petit nouveau, (enfin nouvelle !) et pas des moindres : Floor Jansen<\/i> \u00e0 qui Tobias <\/i>laisse la vedette dans un \u00ab\u00a0Kill The Pain Away<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb tr\u00e8s punchy gr\u00e2ce aux soli de guitare.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Apr\u00e8s les nouveaux, retour \u00e0 ce qui m’a fait aimer Avantasia <\/b>: la pr\u00e9sence de Michael Kiske<\/i> ! Et comme \u00e0 chaque fois \u00e7a fait mouche : \u00ab\u00a0The Inmost Ligh<\/u>t\u00a0\u00bb sonne comme du Helloween <\/b>et l’alliance des voix n’a plus rien \u00e0 prouver tant elles s’accordent parfaitement ensemble. Place au fid\u00e8le slow de l’album avec \u00ab\u00a0Misplaced Among The Angels<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb en duo avec Floor Jansen<\/i>, qui avait \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9 avant la sortie du CD. Quel plaisir d’entre Tobias <\/i>pousser un peu plus sa voix, au d\u00e9triment de Floor <\/i>qui est plus en retrait. N\u00e9anmoins le refrain reste une r\u00e9ussite tout comme le solo de guitare. C’est au tour d’un autre habitu\u00e9 d’entrer en sc\u00e8ne : Jorn Lande<\/i> avec sa voix caract\u00e9ristique pour une chanson plus agressive dans son riffing <\/i>: \u00ab\u00a0I Tame The Storm<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, qui passe toute seule.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00ab\u00a0Paper Plane<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb est plus \u00e9nigmatique dans sa composition, comme c’est souvent le cas lorsque Ronnie Atkins<\/i> chante. Les instruments sont tr\u00e8s en retrait et donnent une sonorit\u00e9 pop qui retire tout relief au titre, bref je n’arrive pas \u00e0 accrocher. L’ambiance devient plus fun sur \u00ab\u00a0The Moonflower Society<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb avec l’\u00e9ternel Bob Catley<\/i> qui entra\u00eene bien durant les 5 minutes de la chanson. Le tempo augmente avec une intro \u00e0 la double p\u00e9dale agr\u00e9ment\u00e9e d’un solo de guitare pour \u00ab\u00a0Rhyme And Reason<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0. La composition est originale tout comme les lignes de chants, partag\u00e9es avec Eric Martin.<\/i> Le r\u00e9sultat est tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00ab\u00a0Scars<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb est l’oppos\u00e9e de \u00ab\u00a0Paper Plane<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb : cette fois ce sont les voix qui sont en retrait des instruments, notamment pendant le refrain. Si j’\u00e9tais mauvaise langue je dirai que \u00e7a ne me d\u00e9range pas plus que \u00e7a car je ne suis pas fan de la voix de\u00a0Geoff Tate<\/i> ! Le morceau passe bien mais ne restera pas non plus dans les annales d’Avantasia<\/b>.\u00a0\u00ab<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society<\/i><\/u><\/span>\u00a0<\/i><\/u><\/span>\u00bb se conclut avec \u00ab\u00a0Arabesque<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, plus long morceau de l’album avec ses 10 minutes, agr\u00e9ment\u00e9es de la pr\u00e9sence de Jorn Lande<\/i> et Michael Kiske<\/i>. A mon grand \u00e9tonnement, les premi\u00e8res notes ne sonnent pas orientales mais plut\u00f4t celtes avec de la cornemuse ! C’est lorsque le couplet d\u00e9marre que l’on a ces riffs orientaux qui sont d’ailleurs tr\u00e8s bon et que j’appr\u00e9cie particuli\u00e8rement. Tobias <\/i>pousse sa voix sur les refrains pour mon plus grand plaisir avec des choeurs en fond, bref tout ce que j’aime ! Les ponts sont eux aussi cools et am\u00e8nent le retour des sonorit\u00e9s celtes avec une union des 3 chanteurs pour finir en beaut\u00e9 ce tr\u00e8s bon album.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00ab<\/span>\u00a0A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society<\/u><\/i>\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb est dans la droite lign\u00e9e de la discographie d’Avantasia<\/b> : un succ\u00e8s ! M\u00eame si les morceaux sont plus courts, la qualit\u00e9 est tr\u00e8s homog\u00e8ne sur l’ensemble de l’album. Sans surprise mes morceaux favoris sont ceux avec Michael Kiske<\/i> (<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0The Inmost Light<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, \u00ab\u00a0Arabesque<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0), mention sp\u00e9ciale tout de m\u00eame pour\u00a0<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0The Wicked Rule The Night<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb avec Ralf Scheepers<\/i> et \u00ab\u00a0Rhyme and Reason<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb (Eric Martin<\/i>). En esp\u00e9rant une tourn\u00e9e avec l’ensemble des participants en France !<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
