Alors trois longues ann\u00e9es apr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0<i><u>T\u016b<\/u><\/i>\u00a0\u00bb, les n\u00e9o-z\u00e9landais sont de retour avec \u00ab\u00a0<i><u>Tangaroa<\/u><\/i>\u00a0\u00bb. Inspir\u00e9 de leur culture natale et de l&rsquo;environnement mais aussi de r\u00e9flexions int\u00e9rieures et personnelles, ce nouvel album met davantage en avant leur culture maori avec notamment l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;instruments traditionnels, tel que le Taonga p\u016boro qui donne cette atmosph\u00e8re guerri\u00e8re si particuli\u00e8re. L&rsquo;\u00e9nergique \u00ab\u00a0<u>Titokowaru<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb ouvre l&rsquo;album sur le son des vagues et le chant des rameurs, puis sur des riffs percutants et des tambours lourds, pour conter l&rsquo;histoire d&rsquo;un c\u00e9l\u00e8bre chef de guerre qui a d\u00e9fi\u00e9 le gouvernement colonial de Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande. Le morceau \u00e9ponyme (\u00ab\u00a0Tangaroa\u00a0\u00bb qui est aussi le nom du dieu maori de la Mer) est certainement le message le plus fort de cet opus: en effet, les paroles en te reo mais aussi en anglais ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crites par <i>Henry<\/i>, <i>Lewis<\/i> avec leur p\u00e8re <i>Niel<\/i> mais \u00e9galement avec l&rsquo;aide de l&rsquo;ancien bassiste <i>Ethan<\/i> <i>Trembath<\/i>. La puissance des paroles associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la force de la musique est un r\u00e9el cri contre le changement climatique et le comportement des humains, comme la pollution et la surp\u00eache.
