Les allemands de <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lord of the Lost<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> reviennent avec leur septi\u00e8me album \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Judas<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb qui succ\u00e8de \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0S<\/span><\/span><\/span>wan Songs III<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb sorti en 2020. Divis\u00e9 en deux parties nomm\u00e9es respectivement \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Damnation<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb (CD1) et \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Salvation<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb (CD2), ce nouvel opus compte alors vingt-quatre chansons qui nous replongent et qui relancent le d\u00e9bat mill\u00e9naire entre le bien et le mal\u00a0; avec notamment un th\u00e8me central ax\u00e9 sur <\/span><\/span><\/span>Judas Iscariot<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span> (connu pour \u00eatre le soi-disant \u00c9vangile de Judas), mais avec un regard diff\u00e9rent sur l’histoire que celle racont\u00e9e dans la Bible et le Nouveau Testament. Les paroles \u00e9voquent donc, un <\/span><\/span><\/span>Judas meurtrier mais aussi un Judas r\u00e9dempteur ou encore un Judas martyr actuel, en montrant des facettes \u00e0 la fois sombres et lumineuses mais \u00e9galement les zones grises du r\u00e9cit. \u00ab\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>Priest<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/i>\u00bb ouvre le bal et met directement en place une sorte de leitmotiv (un motif musical r\u00e9p\u00e9titif qui revient plusieurs fois dans une \u0153uvre) qu’on retrouve r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement et qui permet de construire un fil conducteur, mais surtout de le suivre malgr\u00e9 le changement de disque. Tout au long de l’\u00e9coute, on distingue le son fuzz des guitares (\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Your Star Has Led You Astray<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Born With a Broken Heart<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb), des notes de piano ou d’orgue (sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Death Is Just a Kiss Away<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>My Constellation<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb et sur \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Work of Salvation<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb) mis en valeur par la voix si douce et particuli\u00e8re du chanteur <\/span><\/span><\/span>Chris Harms<\/span><\/span><\/span> et des ch\u0153urs, qui permettent alors de maintenir un \u00e9quilibre dans les voix. Tandis que <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lord of the Lost<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, fait parti de ces groupes qui ne se contentent pas de resservir la m\u00eame soupe, on sait aussi qu’ils savent mettre \u00e0 profit leur force cr\u00e9ative au service de leur musique en surprenant continuellement son auditoire, et \u00ab\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>Judas<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/i>\u00bb confirme une fois de plus ce constat. Bien que les deux disques soient issus du m\u00eame opus, une l\u00e9g\u00e8re pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence se d\u00e9gage pour le c\u00f4t\u00e9 un peu plus atmosph\u00e9rique apport\u00e9 par ce premier chapitre\u00a0: je choisis donc le c\u00f4t\u00e9 obscur avec \u00ab\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>Damnation<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/i>\u00bb.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
