Il aura fallu un an et une rencontre, pour que le multi-instrumentiste fran\u00e7ais <\/span><\/span><\/span>Kabbel<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> alias <\/span><\/span><\/span>Gregory Hoepffiner<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>, se fasse confiance et sorte son premier EP \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>End of Norms<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb (bien qu’actif sous le nom d’<\/span><\/span><\/span>Almeeva<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0et membre de\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Jean Jean<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Sure.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0et\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Juni\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>(ex-<\/span><\/span><\/span>Kid North<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>)). Une perte de rep\u00e8res avec une installation en Su\u00e8de loin de l’effervescence de la capitale, une lib\u00e9ration des normes qui lui a redonn\u00e9 le plaisir de chanter (d’o\u00f9 le nom de l’opus) et une rencontre en studio avec le producteur <\/span><\/span><\/span>Christoffer Berg<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span> (<\/span><\/span><\/span>Fever Ray<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>The<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> Knife<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Depeche<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span> Mode<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>) donnent un ensemble de quatre titres dans un style qui lui est propre. Le Queer Sadcore, comme il se pla\u00eet \u00e0 d\u00e9finir son univers musical est la rencontre entre la noirceur des musiques extr\u00eames dans son expression industrielle mais aussi a\u00e9rienne et le plaisir de la pop moderne sur fond d\u2019ambiance cin\u00e9matographique et th\u00e9\u00e2trale. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Li<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>g<\/span><\/span><\/span>hts Go Out<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb <\/span><\/span><\/span>installe d’embl\u00e9e une atmosph\u00e8re pesante, froide et m\u00e9tallique aid\u00e9e par des sonorit\u00e9s \u00e9lectroniques et des voix dramatiques, tandis que \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Tired<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb est un m\u00e9lange tourment\u00e9 de synth\u00e9tiseurs et de basses qui nous plonge dans un film sombre. Certainement, le morceau le plus exp\u00e9rimental de cet opus. Le dernier morceau \u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>No More XTC<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00bb fini par adoucir l’obscurit\u00e9, en offrant de l’acoustique en arri\u00e8re-plan. Le point fort de\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Kabbel<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>, c\u2019est qu\u2019il r\u00e9ussit aussi \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l’esth\u00e9tique et notamment dans ces clips, pour l’associer au profit de sa musique. M\u00eame si le style de cet artiste para\u00eet trouble et obscur au premier abord, l’ensemble semble de se d\u00e9m\u00ealer au fur et \u00e0 mesure des \u00e9coutes. <\/span><\/span><\/span>2021 marque \u00e0 ce jour, l\u2019\u00e9mergence du projet le plus personnel de <\/span><\/span><\/span>Kabbel<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>…<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
