Nomm\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<em><u>A Better Dystopia<\/u><\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, l&rsquo;opus est une compilation de leurs morceaux pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s issus des ann\u00e9es 60-70; une sorte d&rsquo;hommage \u00e0 certaines chansons sous-estim\u00e9es tout en faisant r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 la parano\u00efa, \u00e0 la dystopie et \u00e0 la r\u00e9volution. Sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 par le leader lui-m\u00eame et enregistr\u00e9 dans le FreakShop Studios (qui n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;autre que la salle de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition du batteur <em>Bob<\/em> <em>Pantella<\/em>), l&rsquo;id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de reprendre des morceaux \u00e9tranges et obscurs principalement tir\u00e9s de la p\u00e9riode peu glorieuse qui a pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le rock, le heavy metal, le reggae et le disco. Une p\u00e9riode o\u00f9 le hard rock n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas reconnu et o\u00f9 le punk et le psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique r\u00e9gnaient. L&rsquo;\u00e9coute d\u00e9marre par \u00ab\u00a0<u>The Diamond Mine<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb sur lequel <em>Dave<\/em> <em>Wyndrof<\/em> r\u00e9cite un monologue du DJ am\u00e9ricain Dave Diamond, dont les diffusions radiophoniques ont permit de populariser de nombreux groupes de rock. Puis s\u2019encha\u00eene plusieurs r\u00e9f\u00e9rences comme \u00ab\u00a0<u>Born to Go<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb de <strong>Hawkwing<\/strong>, \u00ab\u00a0<u>Mr. Destroyer<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb de <strong>Poo-Bah<\/strong> ou encore \u00ab\u00a0<u>Motorcycle (Straight to Hell)<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb de <strong>Table<\/strong> <strong>Scraps<\/strong> en version fureur punk au croisement entre <strong>Motorhead<\/strong> et <strong>Iggy<\/strong> <strong>Pop<\/strong>. En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, ce nouveau disque est dense et lourd mais \u00e9galement vintage et old-school. Il pr\u00e9sente des basses br\u00fblantes, des fuzz \u00e9lectriques et des percussions lourdes. Ici pas de nouvelles compositions, mais la possibilit\u00e9 de comprendre les influences et les go\u00fbts du groupe.
