Le groupe nous offre en octobre 1999, leur plus grand album : \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Metropolis Part.II : Scenes From A Memory<\/em><\/span> \u00bb. Il pr\u00e9sente la suite de la chanson \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Metropolis Part.I : The Miracle and The Sleeper<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, sortie sur l&rsquo;excellent \u00ab\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Images and Words<\/span><\/em>\u00a0\u00bb en 1992. C&rsquo;est un album concept, organis\u00e9 comme une pi\u00e8ce de th\u00e9\u00e2tre, 12 chansons r\u00e9parties en 9 sc\u00e8nes, pour 77 minutes au total. Toutes les chansons s&rsquo;encha\u00eenent parfaitement pour raconter l&rsquo;histoire de <em>Nicholas<\/em>, personnage qui va se faire hypnotiser afin de revivre sa vie ant\u00e9rieure en tant que <em>Victoria<\/em>. Une jeune femme tiraill\u00e9e entre 2 fr\u00e8res rivaux. On va suivre son histoire, ainsi que celle de deux fr\u00e8res jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la tragique fin.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;album doit \u00eatre \u00e9cout\u00e9 d&rsquo;une traite pour appr\u00e9cier tout le grandiose et la qualit\u00e9 de composition. Mais le point fort vient \u00e9galement du fait qu&rsquo;il est possible de prendre les pistes s\u00e9par\u00e9ment. Cependant, une \u00e9coute globale permet de voir toutes les transitions et rappels, notamment \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Seven: II. One Last Time<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, qui reprend certains riffs de \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Two: I. Overture 1928<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb ou du refrain de \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Six: Home<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0. The Dance of Eternity<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb marque une transition : cette instrumentale de grande qualit\u00e9, emm\u00e8ne vers le triptyque grandiose de fin <em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Seven: II. One Last Time<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Eight: The Spirit Carries On<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Nine: Finally Free<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ensemble de ce \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Metropolis Part.II : Scenes From A Memory<\/em><\/span> \u00bb est pour moi le meilleur album de <em>metal progressif<\/em> de tous les temps! Aucun temps faible, une qualit\u00e9 de composition exceptionnelle, de la musique aux paroles qui se r\u00e9pondent. Une derni\u00e8re chanson \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Scene Nine: Finally Free<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, reprenant tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments des titres pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents et avec une outro qui me file la chair de poule!
