Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;engag\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Criminals<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0, le quatuor sort l&rsquo;\u00e9ponyme \u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cold Lava<\/span>\u00ab\u00a0. Un morceau mid-tempo m\u00e9lancolique et personnel qui se d\u00e9couvre d\u00e9sormais sur toutes les plateformes de streaming.<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Cold Lava \u00e9voque la persistance des blessures et des souvenirs, m\u00eame quand on croit les avoir enfouis. L\u2019image de la lave froide traduit ce feu int\u00e9rieur qui continue de br\u00fbler en silence, sous une surface fig\u00e9e. Les cendres, les cicatrices, les traces du pass\u00e9 rappellent que rien ne dispara\u00eet vraiment : ce qui para\u00eet \u00e9teint peut \u00e0 tout moment se rallumer. Le texte oscille entre douleur et espoir. La lave p\u00e9trifi\u00e9e est lourde, \u00e9touffante, mais elle contient aussi la promesse d\u2019un renouveau. C\u2019est une m\u00e9taphore de la r\u00e9silience. \u00c0 travers ses images po\u00e9tiques et cosmiques, Cold Lava explore le lien entre m\u00e9moire et transformation. Et comment ne pas appr\u00e9cier l\u2019intervention de\u00a0<strong>Reuno\u00a0<\/strong>de Lofofora venu glisser quelques paroles cinglantes dans la langue de Moli\u00e8re sur\u00a0<strong>\u00ab Communication In Silence \u00bb\u00a0<\/strong>? Un featuring accueilli comme le plus beau des cadeaux par un groupe qui \u00e9coutait Lofo au cours de son adolescence.\u00a0<\/p><p>Remont\u00e9 \u00e0 bloc,\u00a0<strong>Bukowski\u00a0<\/strong>a r\u00e9ussi l\u2019album qu\u2019il d\u00e9sirait r\u00e9aliser secr\u00e8tement depuis un bon paquet d\u2019ann\u00e9es. De la puissance, de l\u2019\u00e9motion, du refrain\u2026 et du rock sous plusieurs formes.\u00a0<em><strong>Cold Lava\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>ou le feu sous la glace. M\u00e9fiez-vous de l\u2019eau qui dort, la temp\u00eate est toute proche.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00c0 propos de Bukowski:<\/span><\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s un album qui lui aura \u00e0 la fois servi de catharsis et de transition vers une nouvelle \u00e8re,\u00a0<strong>Bukowski\u00a0<\/strong>est de retour, plus fort que jamais. Retour aux basiques ou presque, car se contenter de r\u00e9p\u00e9ter une recette d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9prouv\u00e9e e\u00fbt \u00e9t\u00e9 trop facile.\u00a0<em><strong>Cold Lava\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>est avant tout le premier album enregistr\u00e9 par\u00a0<strong>Bukowski\u00a0<\/strong>avec son dernier line-up, stabilis\u00e9 et au complet depuis maintenant trois ans.\u00a0<strong>Mathieu\u00a0<\/strong>(guitare-chant),\u00a0<strong>Romain\u00a0<\/strong>(batterie) et\u00a0<strong>Cl\u00e9ment\u00a0<\/strong>(guitare) avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 boss\u00e9 ensemble sur\u00a0<em><strong>Bukowski\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>avant sa sortie en 2022. Ne manquait que\u00a0<strong>Max\u00a0<\/strong>(basse) arriv\u00e9 par la suite. Fruit d\u2019un v\u00e9ritable travail collectif, ce nouveau disque aura vu le bassiste activement participer \u00e0 la composition ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9criture des textes.<\/p><p>Parce qu\u2019il fallait malgr\u00e9 tout renouer avec un vrai son organique et se retrouver dans les meilleures conditions qui soient pour enregistrer, le groupe a \u00e0 nouveau fait appel \u00e0\u00a0<strong>Francis Caste\u00a0<\/strong>pour produire ce septi\u00e8me album (le quatri\u00e8me qu\u2019il r\u00e9alise pour\u00a0<strong>Buko<\/strong>). Des retrouvailles qui s\u2019incarneront sous la forme d\u2019un travail acharn\u00e9 en studio pendant deux mois. Un travail que\u00a0<strong>Mathieu\u00a0<\/strong>voulait fournir pour obtenir un album qui revienne \u00e0 l\u2019essentiel : mettre en bo\u00eete des morceaux f\u00e9d\u00e9rateurs qui, une fois sur sc\u00e8ne, font bouger la t\u00eate des gens que les musiciens ont en face d\u2019eux. Le ton \u00e9tait donn\u00e9. Restait \u00e0 obtenir le r\u00e9sultat id\u00e9al.\u00a0<strong>Francis Caste\u00a0<\/strong>r\u00e9sume alors la situation \u00e0 merveille :\u00a0<em>\u00ab Bukowski, c\u2019est un porte-avions sur le Canal St Martin \u00bb<\/em>.<\/p><p>Si on a toujours appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 l\u2019univers de\u00a0<strong>Bukowski<\/strong>, quelque part entre\u00a0<strong>stoner\u00a0<\/strong>et\u00a0<strong>hard rock<\/strong>, le tout relev\u00e9 par une bonne dose de groove, le groupe n\u2019a pas h\u00e9sit\u00e9 cette fois \u00e0 ajouter une jolie ration de sons plus alternatifs et ambiants \u00e0 sa recette satur\u00e9e. Il y a quelque part un parfum de\u00a0<strong>Thrice\u00a0<\/strong>ou, dans une moindre mesure, de\u00a0<strong>Thursday\u00a0<\/strong>et d\u2019<strong>Alexisonfire<\/strong>\u00a0sur certains titres.\u00a0<strong>Buko\u00a0<\/strong>restera toujours\u00a0<strong>Buko<\/strong>, mais son \u00e9volution apporte un vent de fra\u00eecheur sur une musique toujours intense et martel\u00e9e avec conviction. Revenir \u00e0 des morceaux plus courts, certes, mais sans tourner en rond, c\u2019est tellement plus grisant.
