\u00ab\u00a0Season Of The Owl<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb ouvre le bal sur les chapeaux de roue avec un tempo tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9, notamment \u00e0 la double p\u00e9dale, bien accompagn\u00e9 par des guitares discr\u00e8tes mais bien pr\u00e9sentes. Le chant de Damnagoras<\/i> <\/i>et le violon de Lethien<\/i> <\/i>sont vraiment mis en avant, hormis pour les soli de guitare. Si vous aimez les compositions assez lin\u00e9aires, \u00ab\u00a0Reader Of The Runes – Luna<\/i><\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, ne sera pas fait pour vous. Elvenking <\/b>aime nous offrir de nombreuses transitions entre et \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de ses morceaux, passant d’un Power metal<\/i> assez classique au Pagan <\/i>avec des sonorit\u00e9s plus m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, voir quelques growls<\/i>.<\/p>\n

 Pour la promotion de son album \u00ab\u00a0Reader Of The Runes – Luna<\/i><\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, Elvenking <\/b>a sorti 3 morceaux en avance qui r\u00e9sument parfaitement ce CD. \u00ab\u00a0Luna<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb est un titre tr\u00e8s Power metal <\/i>\u00ab\u00a0classique\u00a0\u00bb, quant \u00ab\u00a0Gone Epoch<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb est lui beaucoup influenc\u00e9 par un style Pagan<\/i>, et enfin \u00ab\u00a0Throes of Atonement<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb qui est la quintessence des deux. Et c’est l\u00e0 que le groupe excelle vraiment ! Ces transitions, qui peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9stabilisantes, font toute l’originalit\u00e9 d’Elvenking<\/b>, m\u00eame si la totalit\u00e9 de l’album n’est pas \u00e9gale. Le groupe b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e9galement d’un invit\u00e9 de marque sur le titre \u00ab\u00a0Stormcarrier<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb en la personne de Mathias Lillm\u00e5ns<\/i> (chanteur de Finntroll<\/b>) qui am\u00e8ne une puissance bienvenue avec ses growls<\/i>. \u00ab\u00a0Stormcarrier<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb est une vraie r\u00e9ussite, avec encore une fois ce m\u00e9lange au sein m\u00eame du titre de parties Power et Pagan. Pour me faire plaisir, Elvenking <\/b>m’a gard\u00e9 un morceau de 11 minutes pour cl\u00f4turer \u00ab\u00a0Reader Of The Runes – Luna<\/i><\/u>\u00a0\u00bb : \u00ab\u00a0Reader of the Runes – Book II<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb ! L’avantage d’un titre plus long quant on oscille entre plusieurs style, c’est que l’on peut d\u00e9velopper chaque partie sans que ce soit trop abrupt dans les transitions. C’est exactement ce qu’il se passe avec \u00ab\u00a0Reader of the Runes – Book II<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb qui d\u00e9veloppe chaque partie de son histoire et se permet m\u00eame un petit d\u00e9tour vers quelque chose de plus extr\u00eame avec un passage en blast beats ! Sans aucun doute, c’est le meilleur titre de \u00ab\u00a0Reader Of The Runes – Luna<\/i><\/u>\u00a0\u00bb ! <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La prise de risque des italiens d’Elvenking<\/b> est grande \u00e0 vouloir jouer sur deux tableaux, mais je peux dire sans soucis que le d\u00e9fi est relev\u00e9. C’est d’ailleurs sur les titres les plus \u00ab\u00a0classiques\u00a0\u00bb et avec moins de prise de risques que le groupe est le moins convaincant (\u00ab\u00a0Luna<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, \u00ab\u00a0Gone<\/u> Epoch<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0, \u00ab\u00a0The Ghosting<\/u>\u00ab\u00a0). Elvenking <\/b>a aussi su choisir avec qui s’associer pour le titre \u00ab\u00a0Stormcarrier<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb avec Mathias Lillm\u00e5ns<\/i> de Finntroll<\/b>. Le titre figure dans mon top 3 de \u00ab\u00a0Reader Of Th<\/i><\/u>e Runes – Luna<\/u><\/i>\u00a0\u00bb avec \u00ab\u00a0Season Of The Owl<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb et son rythme endiabl\u00e9, ainsi que la masterpiece <\/i>finale \u00ab\u00a0Reader of the Runes – Book II<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb !<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
