SYLVAINE est devenue une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en mati\u00e8re de post-metal ambiant et de black metal atmosph\u00e9rique, mais aujourd’hui Kathrine Shepard, l’artiste visionnaire qui se cache derri\u00e8re Sylvaine, revient \u00e0 ses racines avec son nouvel EP \u00ab\u00a0Eg Er Framand\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>

Ayant grandi en Norv\u00e8ge, au milieu des contrastes entre la nature et l’urbanit\u00e9, elle se produisait souvent dans l’\u00e9glise de Kampen \u00e0 Oslo. C’est dans cette relique du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle qu’elle a enregistr\u00e9 l’int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de ce nouvel EP \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>

Le premier single, \u00ab\u00a0Dagsens Augo Sloknar\u00a0\u00bb, a des origines myst\u00e9rieuses : les paroles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crites en 1891 par Elias Blix, un professeur devenu politicien qui \u00e9crivait \u00e9galement des hymnes. Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 la m\u00e9lodie d\u00e9licate et r\u00e9v\u00e9rencieuse de l’original, Sylvaine chante \u00ab\u00a0Dagsens Augo Sloknar\u00a0\u00bb dans un chuchotement allong\u00e9 et haletant, \u00e0 la fois obs\u00e9dant et apaisant.<\/p>

Le clip du premier single a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 et produit par William Lacalmontie. Une magnifique tapisserie de paysages sur laquelle Kathrine danse de mani\u00e8re expressive. \u00c0 PROPOS DE SYLVAINE :<\/span><\/p>

Kathrine Shepard, l’artiste visionnaire \u00e0 l’origine du projet musical \u00e9vocateur SYLVAINE, tisse une tapisserie complexe d’\u00e9motions \u00e0 travers le langage de la musique. Un pont transcendantal entre les mondes, une dualit\u00e9 envo\u00fbtante qui englobe le beau et le dur, la lumi\u00e8re et l’obscurit\u00e9, la s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 et le chaos, et l’\u00e9quilibre d\u00e9licat entre le monde ext\u00e9rieur et le sanctuaire int\u00e9rieur de l’\u00e2me. C’est une symphonie qui harmonise l’exp\u00e9rience humaine avec ses origines spirituelles – une r\u00e9sonance de quelque chose au-del\u00e0 du tangible.<\/p>

Les compositions de SYLVAINE sont un voyage visc\u00e9ral \u00e0 travers le vaste spectre d’\u00e9motions que les complexit\u00e9s de l’exp\u00e9rience humaine ont \u00e0 offrir. Elles r\u00e9sument la lutte inh\u00e9rente au fait d’\u00eatre une entit\u00e9 dans ce monde, sans pour autant en faire partie. La musique de Katherine sert de canal \u00e0 ses sentiments les plus intimes, une expression cathartique du d\u00e9sir \u00e9ternel qui r\u00e9side au c\u0153ur m\u00eame de ses m\u00e9lodies.<\/p>

Comme un conte de f\u00e9es tiss\u00e9 \u00e0 partir des fils du folklore norv\u00e9gien, un r\u00e9cit qui r\u00e9sonne avec les esprits des bois anciens et les chuchotements de cr\u00e9atures oubli\u00e9es depuis longtemps. Avec chaque note \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e et chaque m\u00e9lodie obs\u00e9dante, elle \u00e9voque des images de for\u00eats sauvages, de clairi\u00e8res brumeuses habit\u00e9es par des \u00eatres mystiques. Dans cet art, il y a un sens ind\u00e9niable de la transcendance, o\u00f9 les auditeurs sont transport\u00e9s au-del\u00e0 des limites de l’ordinaire dans un paysage de r\u00eave o\u00f9 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et la fantaisie convergent. Un sens profond de l’\u00e9merveillement et de l’attrait cr\u00e9e une alchimie musicale unique – avec une touche d’enchantement qui persiste longtemps apr\u00e8s que la musique a cess\u00e9.<\/p>

Avec quatre albums et un split-EP sortis \u00e0 ce jour, les paysages sonores \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9s de SYLVAINE ont \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9s sur les sc\u00e8nes d’Europe, d’Am\u00e9rique du Nord et d’Am\u00e9rique du Sud, laissant le public hypnotis\u00e9 par la puissance transcendante des performances live du groupe.
